Foxes are small-to-medium-sized, omnivorous mammals belonging to several genera of the family Canidae. Foxes have a flattened skull, upright triangular ears, a pointed, slightly upturned snout, and a long bushy tail often called brush. There are several different species of fox with Red Fox being the most common. None of them are cats, but they’re also not “dogs” in the sense of household pets. Unlike their wolf relatives, foxes are not pack animals. When raising their young, they live in small families in underground burrows. Otherwise, they hunt and sleep alone. #nature
