Corn dogs are sausages dipped in corn batter, deep fried and then served on a stick. First introduced in the 1920s by German Texans who were sausage-makers finding resistance to the sausages they used to make. Many years later, sticks were added to corn dogs as a unique food holding tool. Modern corn dogs are available in many variations including mozarella, vegetarian and mini corn dogs. #food
