Optical illusion is an experience of seeming to see something which does not exist or is other than it appears. Typical illusions are physical, psychological or cognitive. Cognitive illusions, such as ambiguous, distorting and paradox illusions, occur when our brains automatically make assumptions based on the information sent from the eyes.
