Origami is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. The name is derived from the Japanese words βoru β(to fold) and βkami β(paper) which is the same written word as the Japanese word for spirit or god. That’s why certain origami models were part of religious ceremonies. Nowaday because of its high accesibility origami is popular all over the world and there are dozens of entries for origami in the Guinness Book of World Records including most folds, smallest, biggest, fastest time for folding 100 cranes, and many more.
