Q: Which cheese is made backwards?
A: Edam.
Cheese puffs were created in 1935 by Flakall Corporation, a Beloit, Wisconsin animal feed manufacturer. To make the feed, a grinder was used to flake corn. Grinder required occasional cleaning during which staff fed moist corn into the grinder, during this process something unusual happened. The moist corn ran directly into the heat of the machine, and when it exited the grinder, it didn’t flake out anymore. It puffed up!
